What we believe
Nuance is the job
Japanese business writing carries meaning in its level of politeness, in what it leaves unsaid and in set phrases that have no English counterpart. Translated word for word, it produces English that is correct and still wrong for its reader.
Our work is to carry the intent across: the instruction in a manual, the obligation in a contract, the finding in a paper. The reader should not be able to tell it was ever in another language.
How we work
Three passes on every text
- Translation by someone who knows the subject as well as the language.
- Editing against the source, so nothing is missing and nothing has shifted in meaning.
- Proofreading of the target text alone, so it reads naturally to the person it is for.

We are based in Bengaluru and work with clients remotely. Interpretation assignments are on site or over the phone.
